Over the years I have become a women who works hard for everything I’ve achieved and have pushed myself harder than I thought I could. That is until my life changed in a matter of weeks making me realize how much of my life I never was selfish. Now, that word is never used lightly and I always hated it but I realized I didn’t love myself, I didn’t go out of my way to do things to make me happy and when I realized those things. I needed to fight for something to be happy and successful. To find me again. I have always been into working out and making myself better but never pushed myself to do more. When I first reached out to Tayler, I just wanted to have a distraction and finally get to the goal I always wanted. I worked out an 8 week program with her and within 3 weeks I stood in a stand still. I didn’t feel I was fighting for something, a goal. Yeah, my goal was to look better but I needed more than that. After talking to numerous amounts of people and Tayler supporting me 100% of the way I decided I needed to compete. Not to win the prize, look better than everyone else but to push myself more than ever and to find something to fight for.
I had my days where friends and family questioned what I was doing and sometimes I even questioned what I was doing but all in all my biggest support system was our team that didn’t even know me well. People on Tayler’s team reached out to me for constant support, motivation and when I doubted myself. Going through this process with a group of amazing people couldn’t have made any of this easier for me.
Standing on that stage I realized how awesome I was. Not being full of myself but the entire 13 weeks I just wanted to say that girl was me. Never in a million years did I, or anyone in my life think I would be standing here enjoying myself and being as confident as I was. Throughout this entire process I have learned to love myself stronger, push for what I want, and to put myself and my passions first. I have loved this experience and I am grateful for everyone who made it all possible for me. I will continue to make this a lifestyle and allow myself to become better every time I go to the gym or doing a show. I now know how to push myself for me and no one else.
Thank you Tayler Perry and Team TaylerMade for the constant support and motivation. I am forever thankful.
